2024 is the 40th Anniversary of the original Ghostbusters film. Starring Hollywood legends such as Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Ernie Hudson as the rag-tag group of paranormal investigators, this movie has become a cult classic and a worldwide pop culture icon. The legacy has lived on, thanks to a successful continuation with the theatrical release of Ghostbusters: Afterlife in 2021 (no disrespect to the 2016 reboot failure). Next up for the Ghostbusters franchise is the sequel to 2021's film, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, set to hit theatres on March 22.
Regarding pop culture icons and franchises, merchandise and memorabilia are abundant each time a new chapter is released. In 2021, Reebok teamed up with the series to release a capsule, and for the upcoming film, Timberland is getting in on the ghostbusting business. The Ghostbusters x Timberland Collection is set to feature two unique iterations of the classic Premium 6" Boot—NYC and the other Slimer.

Partnering with an equally iconic East Coast brand feels like a natural fit.”
The NYC version is a twist on the classic wheat, sporting hazard tape-inspired laces, custom Ghostbusters branding on the tongue, and debossed on the collar. The Slimer pair comes in black and features a similar construction, accented by glow-in-the-dark detailing on the collar, laces, branding, and the outsole. Custom hangtags specific to each version are included and housed in special packaging.
The Ghostbusters x Timberland Collection is set to release on March 21, 2024, exclusively for Timberland members online through Timberland. Available in men's sizing, retail is set at $220.
