The House of the Dragon x Merrell Collection Releases August 2024

As the hit series House of the Dragon captivates audiences worldwide, the show's influence extends beyond the screen and into fashion. Sole Retriever can confirm that House of the Dragon will be teaming up with outdoor brand Merrell on a three-sneaker collection set to drop this August. This release follows HOTD's predecessor, Game of Thrones, which collaborated with adidas on a series of Ultraboost colorways. This exciting new collaboration brings forth a collection of three sneakers, each representing one of the prominent houses in the series: House Targaryen, House Velaryon, and House Hightower.

The House of the Dragon x Merrell Collection offers a trio of styles, starting with the Agility Peak 5 for House Targaryen. This model features a yellow color scheme reminiscent of the Targaryen crest, with black accents hitting parts of the sole unit. More accents are found on the tongue, lace set, collar, and sockliner, each with a tan hue. The upper boasts a breathable mesh construction. A custom dragon trio lace holder and the Targaryen family crest on the insole further enhance the theme.

For House Velaryon, the Moab 3 model showcases shades of red with subtle hits of tan lining portions of the midfoot and the sockliner. The sneaker features similar premium materials, including embossed dragon scale leather and mesh, with a custom insole displaying the Velaryon family crest and a split family tree diagram across both insoles. The Moab 3's outsole features a "tooth" color blocking, mimicking dragon teeth and adding an adventurous touch to the design.

Finally, the Moab Speed 2 represents House Hightower, incorporating earthy tones of jade and tan, reflecting the house's connection to nature and knowledge. This model also includes the dragon scale pattern on the leather overlays, along with the breathable mesh and suede details. The insole features the Hightower family crest and the family tree diagram, rounding out the collection's cohesive storytelling elements.

The House of the Dragon x Merrell Collection will release exclusively via Merrell online. The House Targaryen pair will drop on August 17, 2024, followed by the House Hightower on August 25 and House Velaryon on September 7.
