HUF and Nike have cultivated a legendary partnership over the years. One of their early and now iconic collaborations dates back to 2004, resulting in a memorable Nike Air Max 1. Fast forward to today, and the duo have tackled various silhouettes under Nike's umbrella, most recently working on a three-pack of Nike SB Dunk Lows honoring the label’s founder Keith Hufnagel. Now, Bubblekope is reporting that the HUF x Nike Air Max 1 is returning in 2024.
Although Sole Retriever cannot confirm that the pair is making a return at this time, if HUF’s Air Max 1 does return, it will either come as a direct retro or a "2.0" update on the original colorway. The distinguished OG design showcased a harmonious blend of different grey tones, brilliantly offset by splashes of lime green found on elements like the Swoosh, sockliner, TPU eyelet, tongue tag, heel branding, and the laces' lining. While the standard release was highly sought after, an even rarer 1/24 Friends & Family variant existed, boasting the San Francisco skyline embroidered onto the heel - a nod to HUF’s roots.
The HUF x Nike Air Max 1 is rumored to release in 2024. If the pair does hit shelves, expect a release through HUF, Nike, and select retailers online and in-store.
