Founding HUF back in 2002 in San Francisco, Keith Hufnagel grew his skateboard boutique into one of skating’s top brand's thanks to its clean aesthetic, provocative designs, and quality craftsmanship. Another top contender in the skateboarding world is of course Nike SB, creating some of the most sought-after sneakers of all time. With these two titans of the industry last collaborating on a Dunk silhouette way back in 2004 on the high-top variant, it only makes sense the duo would be back for more. Helping celebrate HUF’s 20th Anniversary and paying homage to the life of Keith Hufnagel is an upcoming three pack of HUF x Nike SB Dunk Lows.
Included within these three colorways are a black/white look, white/blue, and a two-tone grey with tie-dye features harkening back to the original HUF x Nike SB Dunk High. Covering the upper of all three will be a premium tumbled leather, though the extra details are what make this set of sneakers extra special. A HUF graphic with a silver Nike Swoosh sitting in the middle of said graphic graces the toebox, sitting just below the fat laces and mesh tongue. Running up to the top of the tongue you’ll find your typical Nike SB branding, though Keith’s hometown of NYC gets a nod with “New York City” embroidered, as well on the blue pair.
The black/white pair will be paying homage to the companies founding city of San Francisco. Back on the heel, an outline of San Fran’s skyline is embossed with the heel tab above housing “Keith Forever” text split between the left and right sneaker respectively. Underfoot, a standard SB Dunk midsole is used with the black/white and white/navy pair coming in a vintage cream and the tie-dye pair coming in a light grey. Both city skylines are present on the F&F pair, tying all three together. Finishing the look is the rubber outsole matching the accenting color of each pair.
All three colorways of the HUF x Nike SB Dunk Low were released via exclusive friends and family access on October 3rd, 2022. The F&F colorway will not be released to the public outside of this release, which is limited to 74 individually etched, authenticated, pairs, distributed by HUF. Both the San Francisco and New York editions are set to release on November 12th, 2022 through select skate shops, and a possible online release through Nike. HUF has announced a raffle taking place on the Copdate app that will remain exclusive to Los Angeles, New York City, and San Francisco, taking place on October 18th, 2022 at 12:00 PM EDT/9:00 AM PDT. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $130. To stay updated on HUF’s upcoming Nike SB collaboration and more, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
