Legendary hip-hop star Ice Cube just rocked the city of Phoneix, Arizona, during his Nightmare on Cube Street concert, which saw multiple hip-hop acts, like Ginuwine, Ying Yang Twins, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony perform. Before the show's start, the arena, which is also the home of Devin Booker’s Phoneix, Suns, gifted the former NWA member a custom Nike Book 1 done by Vick Almighty.
Most of the sneaker takes on a black finish, with the mudguard and toebox coming in a nubuck finish, while the vamp, eyestays, and collar come coated in fuzzy suede. Pebbled leather graces the midfoot panel and tongue, the latter hosting Ice Cube embroidered up top in a contrasting white shade. More white is present on the large Swoosh on the midfoot and the book spine-inspired pull tab that hosts a graphic of a hand making a W sign for Westside. The saying is also placed on the spine of the heel in black. Another hidden detail is the paisley print textile placed on the lining of the tongue. Finishing the design is the black rubber midsole paired with a black rubber outsole.
Unfortunately for the public, this custom Nike Book 1 for Ice Cube is a 1-of-1 done by Vick Almighty and won’t be available for purchase.
