Introduced at the beginning of the year during Nike’s Air Max Day celebration, the Air Max DN has become a staple in the brand’s lineup. During its first year on the market, a small set of collabs graced the newest Air Max sneaker, including a project with Supreme and an upcoming Doernbecher release. For the model’s next collab, Nike has teamed up with acclaimed makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench to reinterpret the silhouette boldly.

Drawing inspiration from women athletes who dominate both the field and the fashion world, Isamaya's take on the Air Max DN comes in Light Chocolate and Bio Beige. Ffrench's design leverages texture and material contrast, with metallic tones embedded beneath glossy acrylic on the rand and heel, contrasting against the upper and sole matte finishes. Each pair sticks to a monochromatic finish across the entire model and retains the standard tooling setup of a Phylon midsole and a four-chamber Dynamic Air unit.

Speaking on her collaboration with Nike, Isamaya stated, “Female athletes show that you can have it all. You can have prowess in sport. You can be at the top of your game. You can take an interest in your appearance. You can express yourself in as many ways as you want and still be a top athlete. Beauty doesn’t undermine any of that. Beauty actually enhances it.”

She continued, “Beauty has a massive presence in women’s sport today. It’s been inspiring, working with athletes throughout this journey with Nike — and humbling to feel that the things I’m creating are helping these women feel good and give them confidence to perform at their peak.”

The Isamaya Ffrench x Nike Air Max DN Pack W was originally set to release on December 20, 2024. It was pushed up to December 13 and is available now through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. In women’s sizing, the retail price is $170.
