Jae Tips, known for his vibrant and innovative collaborations in the footwear industry, has yet again teamed up with Saucony to bring us an exciting new release. After making a notable impact with the Grid Azura 2000 Remember Who Fronted and subsequent releases like the Grid Shadow 2 Wear To The Party and Wear To A Date, Jae Tips is set to continue his creative journey with more releases. At Paris Fashion Week, he unveiled a teaser of his latest project: a collaboration on the Saucony Matrix. This follows up on the release of his ProGrid Omni 9 collab.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix features a dynamic design with a rich, textured upper composed of suede and mesh. Burgundy red hues dominate the toebox and midfoot panel, providing a deep, luxurious base for the sneaker. Tannish-pink shades are applied to the toecap, laces, sockliner, and heel overlay, adding a soft contrast that enhances the overall aesthetic.
The Saucony logo along the midfoot is highlighted in white, complementing the green shade of the tongue. Additionally, the split branding on the tongue showcases Saucony's logo on one sneaker and Jae Tips' Savior logo on the other, emphasizing the collaborative nature of the design. A pink and green midsole paired with a black rubber outsole completes the look, ensuring the sneaker stands out in terms of style and performance.
Alongside this first pair, a friends-and-family version emerged with a blue upper, pink accents, and pops of navy, silver, and white. This pair will be exclusive to ComplexCon.
The Jae Tips x Saucony Matrix Pack will have an early release at ComplexCon, which takes place November 16-17. Following this, the Burgundy colorway will release via Jae Tips' website via a raffle that ends on November 22. Saucony will release the pair on December 6, 2024. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $170. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
