It’s no secret that JoeFreshGood has the secret sauce when it comes to designing, working across the board with brands in various industries. New Balance, however, is often considered his most successful collaboration to date. Detailed storytelling and hit colorways have allowed Joe to continue to be a go-to name over at NB. Continuing this trend is his latest offering inspired by FunSnax Frosted Strawberry Cookies, a Chicago staple, on the JoeFreshGoods x New Balance 9060 Inside Voices “Penny Cookie Pink.”
Combining the NB 99X series and the 860, the silhouette comes dressed in suede overlays and mesh underlays. Resembling the color of the Frosted Strawberry Cookies are the various suede overlays, taking on a light tan shade. Underneath this sits a strawberry pink mesh, visible around the toe and collar. Flat laces and the N branding on the midfoot also come in the same pink as the mesh.
Placed on top of the tongue is NB9060 branding that comes in an accenting teal, also seen on the tag found near the collar. Internally, a quilted sockliner in grey compliments the cloudy pink insole with teal JFG text. On the rear, “Inside” and “Voices” text comes embroidered in a tonal beige, sitting just above the protruding translucent rubber overlay. Rounding out the look is the chunky midsole in white, beige, and teal and a gum rubber outsole.
Originally set to release on May 16th, 2022, alongside the Baby Shower Blue colorway via JFG's official IG page, the release was pushed back til May 18th due to technical issues. The wider drop will follow on May 20th through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
