Thanks to the likes of the Yeezy Foam RNNR, Yeezy Slide, and Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog, the popularity of foam-based slip-on footwear exploded in the last few years. Due to this, we’ve seen every major label bring forth their own version utilizing this design language with Jordan Brand and Nike joining the party somewhat late. As we recently reported, Nike is set to debut the Calm Slide while Jordan Brand is giving us two silhouettes, the Jordan Hex Slide and Hex Mule, that plays into this trend with a unique twist. Now after two colorways received detailed images, the Jordan Hex Mule in the “Sea Coral” colorway has had its most detailed look to date.
Taking its inspiration from geometry, the “Hex” moniker shines through thanks to the hexagonal look when looking from a top-down view. Squared-off portions on the toe and heel help with this design while the sidewall features protrusions that host Jordan branding on the lateral side. Further hits of JB land come embossed on the Bio Foam footbed, a composite foam that is derived from sugar cane. On the medial side, we see two perforations near the midfoot that provide some breathability, though the closed-off toe will make this a little bit more difficult compared to a slide. Underfoot sits a foam outsole with a herringbone traction pattern in a tonal sea coral shade that matches the rest of the model.
The Jordan Hex Mule Sea Coral W is set to release Summer 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $65.
