Jordan Brand may be well known for its series of performance basketball models and the Air Jordan retro lineup, however, the label still often dips its toes into the realm of casual footwear. In 2022 we saw JB bring forth the Jordan Granville Pro to much dismay as the silhouette failed to catch on in the lifestyle category with consumers but maybe their 2023 plans can change people's attitudes about casual Jordan sneakers. Much like the recently revealed Nike Calm Slide, Jordan Brand seems to be attacking the gap in the market left by the departure of Yeezy with the Jordan Hex Slide.
Taking on an aggressive design language with its hexagonal forefoot design, looking at the sneaker from a top-down view almost gives off Cybertruck vibes as the side comes with foam jetting out and the toe comes squared off. A smooth, cushiony Bio Foam takes over the entire one-piece design and the footbed comes concave with one of the few minimalistic hits of branding landing on the heel. Our final hit of branding on the upper is visible on the aforementioned foam that pokes out the side of the forefoot with a mini Jumpman logo debossed into the material. Underfoot, a Herringbone traction pattern with flex grooves provides a stable ride for all-day wear and use in multiple environments.
We’ll get our hands on the women’s exclusive Jordan Hex Slide beginning Summer 2023 when we see the launch of the “Off-White,” “Cacao Wow,” and “Pistachio Frost” colorways while the “Black,” “Team Gold,” and “Yellow Pulse” renditions release in Fall 2023. Available through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers, the sneaker will retail for $55.
