The NBA season is just weeks away, and as usual, brands and signature athletes are beginning to roll out their latest offerings. Jordan Brand and Luka Dončić are in the midst of rolling out new colorways of the Jordan Luka 3, with the pair he wore during NBA Media Day appearing via official Nike imagery.
Previously, Luka Dončić’s sneakers, like the Luka 2 and his Jordan 36 PE, took inspiration from this matador theme, a play on his time spent at Real Madrid and a nod to his aggressive playstyle. The white textile upper comes with wavy striations that mimic the visual effects of a speeding vehicle. Above this white base are hits of team gold, landing on the mesh tongue, leather tongue tag, leather collar, and mesh heel tab. On the medial side sits a pink floral pattern lined with golden branches. Further pink pops are found on the medial side via the exposed mesh near the toe. Directly nodding to the matador theme, the inside of the tongue features a woven label with El Matador text. Final details include the golden TPU reinforcements near the midfoot and toe, the Cushlon 3.0-cushioned midsole, and the pink/white rubber outsole.
The Jordan Luka 3 Mavtador will release October 14, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
