Jordan Brand gives the world plenty of Air Jordan 6 colorways throughout the year, though the Jordan 7 and 8 don’t often get the same treatment. These three silhouettes are memorable as they were all worn by MJ during the Bull’s first three-peat championship run in the early 90s. Paying homage to these three iconic sneakers by fusing them into one silhouette, Jordan Brand is set to bring out the Jordan MVP, which has already been spotted in a “Playoff” colorway. Now, a women’s exclusive “Black Royal” has surfaced.
Across the black nubuck upper, we see various panels and details from the AJ 6, 7, and 8 with the perforated details and different overlays inspired by the AJ 6 and AJ 7, respectively. More Jordan 6 motifs are visible thanks to the tongue, which borrows directly from the model, while the Jordan 7’s embroidered Jumpman appears on the collar. The Air Jordan 8’s multi-color TPU panel appears on the lateral side of the heel in a combination of white, black, and royal blue that contrasts nicely with the blue portions of the sole unit below. Finishing the upper is the internal bootie with a heel pull tab above the Nike Air branding. Everything comes complete with the AJ 6's black and royal blue midsole and a semi-translucent clear rubber outsole.
The Jordan MVP Black Royal W will be released in Fall 2023 through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. Coming in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $165.
