The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Gel-Kiril 3 Pack Release February 2025

Asics has masterfully executed high fashion and sportswear, with the Japanese label teaming up with Kiko Kostadinov, Gallery Dept., and more consistently throughout the 2020s. Even with Kiko running the label’s SportStyle division, his eponymous design studio still finds time to work on collaborative releases, as seen here with the Asics Gel-Kiril 3 Pack.

Kiko originally developed the Gel-Kiril in one of his first collaborations with Asics in 2020. He quickly followed up with Gel-Kiril 2 in 2020, updating the quilted model with a new upper and a lockdown strap. Five years later, he has once again updated the silhouette, though this time in a more traditional-looking manner in two different colorways.

Focusing on the core functional elements that define Japanese craftsmanship and industrial heritage, the silhouette comes with raised TPU paneling on the front inspired by contemporary Asics workwear models. A debossed pattern on the midfoot paneling gives the sneaker a muddied appearance, creating more textural contrast with the smooth leather, mesh, and neoprene portions around the collar and heel. Below, the silhouette features the same tooling as the Gel-Kiril 1 and Gel-Kiril 2, featuring FlyteFoam, Gel inserts, and a floral-inspired traction pattern.

The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Gel-Kiril 3 Pack will release on February 24, 2025, through Kiko Kostadinov’s website. A wider release via Asics will take place at a later date.
