For sports collectors, snagging a piece of game-worn gear by the biggest athletes in the world is usually accompanied by a trip to the bank afterward as these pieces can fetch insane prices at auction. Looking at MJ, the sneakers he graced the court that eventually ended up in the hands of collectors have sold for well over a million dollars, though maybe LeBron James memorabilia could creep into that million-dollar realm. Recently listed for auction via Heritage Auctions is a pair of Jordan Jumpman Swift 6 that James wore when he was a freshman at St. Vincent-St. Mary during the Ohio High School Division III Championship game.
This size 14 game-worn and signed by LeBron pair of Jordan Jumpman Swift 6s come to us in excellent condition (even though they do show signs of wear) and the fact James was only 15 years old at this point will certainly draw collectors from across the world to this item. A simple Black/White color scheme takes over the silhouette that is obviously inspired by the Jordan 15 with its shroud and zipper construction across the forefoot. Along the collar on both the left and right shoes are signatures from LeBron, his jersey number “23,” and the phrase “1999-2000 State Champs.” Rounding out the design is the two-tone black and white midsole and outsole combo.
The auction for the LeBron James signed game-worn Jordan Jumpman Swift 6 will take place on February 25th and 26th with bidding starting at the beginning of February 2023. Head over to Heritage Auctions website for more information on the bid, and if you’re looking to place a bid hopefully you’ve got deep pockets as they estimate the lot to sell for upwards of $200,000.
