As a lifelong Nike athlete, LeBron James is given access to exclusive samples and 1-of-1’s with no question. We’ve seen through his Nike LeBron line the likes of Stewie Griffin immortalized, however this recently seen Nike Air Force 1 Mid PE was gifted to two of LA’s finest, LeBron James and Dr Dre.
While Dr Dre was given a black pair, King James received an all white-pair with both honoring legends in the City of Angels. Premium tumbled leather dress the all-white look with usual AF1 Mid details maintained. A gold lace dubrae with “Los” and “Angeles” is split between the right and left pair respectively. White laces work up the 3M reflective tongue to another 3M hit, the tongue tag, with “Try to be the King” on the right sneaker and “But the Ace is back!” on the left.
More King details can be found underneath the lockdown strap with “Long live the King” and “This chess not checkers.” Further 3M details make their way onto the piping around the toebox and Nike Swoosh as well as a pattern around the midfoot panel. Back along the heel a gold King chess piece is embroidered atop a 3M heel tab overlay. Rounding out the look is a standard Nike AF1 midsole and rubber outsole.
This 1-of-1 Nike Air Force 1 Mid Kings of LA pair will not see a public release, staying exclusive to LeBron James. While we don’t have a shot at this pair, Nike is planning a big year for the AF1 Mid with a slew of colorways on the horizon.
