When two legendary brands collide, the outcome is nothing short of spectacular. Such is the case with Levi's and New Balance, two companies with an enduring legacy and an impressive past of collaborative efforts. Historically, the iconic American denim company Levi's has brilliantly incorporated its signature material into New Balance's classic sneakers, resulting in coveted limited editions. With the New Balance 580 silhouette regaining popularity, both brands have decided to revisit their partnership, adding fresh, vibrant spins to this beloved sneaker.
The Levi's x New Balance 580 pack offers two distinct colorways, straying from previous collaborations' subtle and muted tones. The Beige rendition showcases a refined hairy suede on the mudguard, midfoot, and heel, harmoniously paired with a grey denim base. Along the midfoot sits a striking blue suede "N" logo, which beautifully complements the blue TPU tongue tag and heel suede. The shoe's collar also proudly displays the unmistakable Levi's branding, with the renowned red tag appearing.
On the other hand, the Grey iteration paints a slightly different yet equally compelling story. Instead of a hairy suede, this model opts for a sleeker, short-haired variant for its overlays. The navy blue denim base provides an elegant backdrop, allowing the magenta accents on the "N" logo and heel tab to pop. Both versions are unified by their cushioned foam midsoles, which feature the Rollbar technology found on all New Balance 580s. The color differentiation continues in the midsole: the Beige boasts a crisp white finish, while the Grey offers a contrasting black and a durable black rubber outsole.
The Levi's x New Balance 580 Pack will release on December 6, 2023, exclusively through Levi's. A wider release at New Balance and select retailers online and in-store will follow on December 7.
