Limited Edt, Singapore's renowned sneaker boutique, is joining forces with acclaimed sneaker customizer Mark Ong, also known as Mr Sabotage (or SBTG), to collaborate with New Balance on a special edition of the New Balance 580. This collaboration marks the latest chapter in the Urban Islander collection by Limited Edt, and it's set to bring a fresh perspective to the 580, a model that has recently seen a revival in the sneaker world.
Celebrating the lifestyle and energy of Singapore's tropical paradise, the Limited Edt x SBTG x New Balance 580 Urban Islander comes crafted from a mix of premium suede, mesh, and TPU. The design features tan pigskin suede across the toe, midfoot, and heel, creating a luxurious feel and appearance. Deep black hues provide a striking contrast on the woven mesh areas at the toe and collar.
New Balance's signature "N" logo stands out in tan, elegantly piped with white leather, on the black midfoot panel. While branding for Limited Edt and SBTG is not present, the insole is adorned with pineapple graphics and Urban Islander branding, adding a unique touch to the design. The shoe is completed with a tan and white midsole and a gum rubber outsole.
