Back in Paris Couture Week 2019, Maison Margiela blurred the line between high fashion and streetwear when it sent a split-toe Instapump Fury down the runway. Many attendees didn't know it at the time, but this sneaker-boot hybrid was much more than just a one-off project. In fact, it would go off to spawn multiple renditions over the next few years, including a Classic Leather version which Kim Kardashian famously showed off on Instagram back in 2020. Now, the controversial collaboration is back, this time in the form of the Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Nylon Pack. Infinitely more versatile than Kim K's pair, make sure you read on to find out everything that you need to know.
Arriving in two monochromatic color options including "Black" and "White," the Parisian fashion house's Classic Leather Tabi Nylon Pack is literally what it says on the tin. Boasting a premium leather and suede construction, Reebok has added a dash of nylon throughout to make these more accessible for everyday wear. Traditional Japanese jika-tabi influences the split-toe design, while co-branded detailing decorates the tongue, complete with Margiela's iconic numeric motif, rounding off the simple yet striking collaboration.
While the Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Tabi Nylon Pack might not be for everyone, if you want a shoe that no one else will have, this is the one that you should pick up. Releasing on December 8th, 2022 in Europe and December 9th, 2022 worldwide in men's sizes, retail is set at $350 and it will be available via Maison Margiela, Reebok, and select retailers online and in-store.
