This partnership marks a significant departure from the norm, bringing the iconic Spider-Man into the fold of Puma's design innovation. Footwear collaborations for Spider-Man have been broad, with Crocs, adidas, Jordan Brand, and Puma working with the franchise.
For possibly the first of many collaborations, Puma and Marvel have brought Spider-Man to life on the Puma Suede. The sneaker features a predominantly black suede upper, ensuring durability and a premium feel. The design subtly nods to Spider-Man's costume through strategic red accents on the lace set and a co-branded Marvel and Puma tongue tag, infusing the shoe with an unmistakable superhero identity.
Along the midfoot sits a formstrip executed in white leather with red stitching that mirrors the webbing of Spider-Man's suit, extending towards the heel where the superhero's emblem is proudly displayed in red. Further personalizing the collaboration, the insole boasts an illustration of Miles Morales unmasked. The sneaker is grounded by a classic white rubber sole unit, providing comfort and traction in every step.
The Marvel x Puma Suede Spider-Man will release June 22, 2024, through Puma and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizing, the retail price is set at $90.
