The Mowalola x New Balance 9060 Drops November 18th

Back in the Summer of 2020, Ye (FKA Kanye West) took to Twitter to announce his WestDayEver, which included naming Mowalola Ogunlesi as the Design Director for his Yeezy GAP line. Though her only design to come out of the venture before her departure were the Round Jacket and Hoodie, she has continued to grow through her own label and revealed on the runway at Paris Fashion Week two colorways of her upcoming New Balance 9060 collaboration.

Coming in a majority-black upper, both colorways of this upcoming 9060 Pack will feature accenting colors of purple/yellow and teal/pink across its leather and mesh construction. Around the mudguard, eyestays, and the N logo sit the accenting colors previously mentioned on both colorways, complemeneted by the all-black mesh underneath. Running up the mesh tongue is a set of black wavy flat laces, that work towards the tongue window featuring NB 9060 branding, though the packaging will include alternate laces to compliment the accenting colors on each pair. The N logo gets a split design between the lateral and medial side with a clear PVC material and a dot-matrix style font respectively. More accenting colors reach back near the heel tab and its NB logo, sitting just above the plastic overlay wrapping around. Underfoot, the chunky dual-layered midsole takes on an almost all-black hue with an accenting yellow hit on the purple pair and pink featured on the teal colorway. Rounding out the look is the black rubber outsole. Packaging will feature a calligram of Mowalola’s M logo alongside co-branding between her and New Balance.

Both colorways of the Mowalola x New Balance 9060 are set to release in 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. A release through mowalola.com is set for November 11th, 2022 while New Balance will release pairs in select countries on November 18th, 2022. Releasing in unisex sizing, the retail price for the Black/Purple Mowalola exclusive is set at $230 USD (approx.) while the Black/Green pair will retail for $205 USD (approx.).
