Patrick Ewing is one of the greatest basketball players of all time. A dominant force for almost two decades, Patrick was the face of the New York Knicks and a force to be reckoned with. A standout since his days at Georgetown University, Ewing would become an NCAA champion, National College Player of the Year, eleven-time NBA All-Star, and a member of the Dream Team. After retiring from the game after the 2001-02 NBA season, he was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2008.
Both on-and-off the court, Patrick Ewing was a recognized global talent. In the footwear world, he started off wearing adidas. Then, he started his brand, Ewing Athletics, in 1989. Spanning across dozens of silhouettes, the Ewing 33 Hi is the most recognized. After laying dormant for years, Ewing Athletics was resurrected in 2012, much to the appraisal of fans. Since then, the brand has consistently released new and classic colorways across various Ewing Athletics silhouettes. Fresh off releases such as the Yandel x Ewing SL33 collab and the inline Sky's the Limit colorway, the Ewing 33 Hi is back in a special HOF colorway.
Created in partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the Ewing 33 Hi Hall of Fame edition pays homage to the game and Ewing's induction into the hall both as a player (2008) and as a member of the Dream Team (2010). The upper comprises orange basketball leather, a white leather tongue, and black suede overlays. Metallic Gold accents the hardware and a portion of the midsole. The official Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame logo is on the tongue, and the words "Hall" and "Fame" are embroidered on the back heels. A white midsole and solid black rubber outsole finish this Hall of Fame design.
