In an era where reviving vintage silhouettes has become a cornerstone of sneaker culture, New Balance has adeptly navigated this trend by reintroducing the New Balance 1000. As the brand continues to expand its repertoire with a mix of archival revivals and forward-thinking collaborations, the New Balance 1000 hopes to make its mark on the sneaker scene with its reintroduction. So far, we’ve seen the sneaker teased in a collaborative effort from Joe Freshgoods and inline variants like the Metallic Silver, Grey, and White Cream Grey, with rumors of an Aime Leon Dore collaboration hitting the internet.
While the Teddy Santis-founded label is working on the New Balance 1000, Sole Retriever can confirm that the Tan Pink colorway floating around is not an ALD collab but a regular inline release.
The Tan Pink variant of the New Balance 1000 showcases the brand's mastery in balancing classic design elements with contemporary aesthetics. The sneaker features a harmonious blend of materials, including nubuck, leather, and mesh, creating a tactile experience that elevates the overall look. The colorway introduces a compelling split design, where the lower half of the sneaker is adorned in pink across various panels, including the leather toecap, suede midfoot panel, and leather heel overlay.
This vibrant base is contrasted by a green mesh toe that transitions to the upper half's tan finish, adding depth and visual interest to the silhouette. New Balance's iconic N logo and branding grace the midfoot and tongue, while the insole carries logos for New Balance and the cushioning system. The sneaker features New Balance's ABZORB and Ndurance technologies, ensuring comfort and durability, with a pink finish applied to the midsole and black on the outsole.
The New Balance 1000 Tan Pink will release on September 11, 2024, through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $150.
