With the dad shoe trend still holding strong in the fashion world, New Balance expanded upon its offerings to bring us a more Y2K-friendly design in the realm of comfortable, chunky sneakers, the 9060. First released in collaboration with Joe Freshgoods, we’ve been given plenty of options throughout 2022 in regards to inline releases as well as a sneak preview of what we can expect the brand to put out in 2023. Now continuing to cover the sneaker in neutral shades, the New Balance 9060 “Cream” has been revealed.
Mesh, nubuck, and suede panels combine to create a busy looking upper that pulls elements from the 99X series with its toebox overlays reminding us of the age-old design. Darker-toned creams can be found on the mudguard, and wrapping from the toe back along the heel, meeting in the middle by the infamous ‘N” logo on the midfoot. Accenting this is a lighter shade of the same color found on various nubuck panels that pop between the mesh and suede while brownish hues land on some of the branding details, found on the tongue, heel, and via the “N” logo. Rounding out the design is a two-tone cream foam midsole paired with a chunky rubber outsole that features a diamond-shaped traction pattern.
The New Balance 9060 Cream is set to release in 2022 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
