When looking at New Balance one often thinks of the various greyscale color schemes found on their various chunky designs, however, the brand knows how to delve into the realm of vibrant shades. Aside from collaborators like Joe Freshgoods, the Teddy Santis-helmed Made In USA collection features a variety of colors across the rainbow and it seems design language may be bleeding into mainline NB releases. Recently spotted in a springtime-ready “Cherry Blossom” colorway, the New Balance 9060 has also just appeared in a unique “Purple Black Silver” rendition.
Taking on its typical suede, leather, and mesh construction, the 9060 gets a vibrant purple dressing its suede overlays while deep black hues take over the base layer of mesh. White hits land on the toebox overlays, portions of the tongue, and lining of the N logo and interior of the sneaker while we see even more hits of black on the lace set and tongue’s branding window. Speaking of the branding, the aforementioned “N” logo takes on a silver color scheme with a 3M reflective finish. Rounding out the upper is the white leather spotted on the heel and collar while the design comes complete with a grey/black chunky foam midsole with red hits featured on traction pods of the black rubber outsole.
The New Balance 9060 Purple Black Silver is set to release in 2023 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
