Under the creative direction of Teddy Santis, New Balance continues to expand its Made in USA lineup with seasonal collections that have captivated sneakerheads since 2022. The 990v6 has become a focal point in these drops, showcasing premium craftsmanship and innovative designs. Following previews of other Made in USA releases like the 993 Sea Salt Castlerock and the ALD-branded Red Clay and True Camo, the latest addition to Santis' Season 6 collection is the New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Castlerock Moonrock. Alongside this v6, a Reflection Marblehead colorway is also on the way.
The New Balance 990v6 Castlerock Moonrock blends luxurious materials and a sophisticated color palette. The upper combines blue-grey pigskin suede on the mudguard, midfoot, eyestays, and heel overlays with grey perforated nubuck on the toe and midfoot areas, offering a rich textural contrast. White accents, including the laces and the iconic N logo, add a crisp touch against the darker hues. Inside, a terrycloth sockliner provides added comfort and a nod to classic New Balance styling. 990 branding is prominently displayed on the tongue and lateral heel, while the heel tab proudly showcases the Made in USA heritage. Completing the design is a cream, white, and grey foam midsole with FuelCell cushioning, ensuring superior comfort and support, paired with a black rubber outsole for durable traction.
The New Balance 990v6 Made in USA Castlerock Moonrock will release August 15, 2024 through New Balance and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $220. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
