The New Balance 997 Made in USA Navy Releases in 2024
PublishedNew Balance’s Made in USA lineup has seen significant success with the help of Teddy Santis, who is launching his Season 6 Collection. Before the start of this latest season, New Balance brought back a sneaker that has been vaulted for nearly five years, the 997, with a Paris-exclusive colorway. On top of the upcoming Aime Leon Dore collaboration, multiple colorways in the Season 6 collection, and the GR Black and Grey renditions, NB’s iconic Navy color scheme is applied to the Steven Smith-designed sneaker.
Premium pigskin suede, mesh, and pebbled leather take over the 997, with navy blue hues dominating the mudguard, midfoot panel, and heel overlay. A navy blue mesh sits below these suede overlays, contrasting the grey shades of the pebbled leather along the vamp, tongue, and collar. Synthetic TPU lings the collar in another grey hue, while we see more grey via the N logo along the midfoot. White accents pop on the lace set, the N logo lining, the sockliner, and the New Balance Made in USA text atop the tongue. Underfoot sits a two-tone grey and white foam midsole paired with a black and grey rubber outsole.
