The New Balance Numeric 480 Eighties Pack Releases April 2024

As New Balance's skateboarding division, New Balance Numeric, continues to carve out its niche within the skateboarding community, its commitment to blending performance with nostalgia has never been more evident. In a striking throwback to the vibrant and competitive spirit of the 1980s, particularly echoing the era's iconic NBA rivalries, the brand is launching the 480 Eighties Pack.

The Eighties Pack features two distinct colorways inspired by the legendary Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, teams whose rivalry defined an era of basketball. The Celtics-inspired model is crafted with lush nubuck, painted primarily in deep green with crisp white accents highlighting the N logo, sockliner, and laces. Conversely, the Lakers version boasts a predominantly leather construction with nubuck detailing on the N logo and collar, adorned in the team's classic white, purple, and gold hues. This pair also features additional gold accents along the stitching of the N logo, the 480 branding on the tongue, and the tongue lining, capturing the essence of the Lakers' opulence. Both models sit on a clean white midsole with thematic stitching and are finalized with distinct outsole colors—purple for the Lakers and white for the Celtics—furthering their tribute to these historic teams.

The New Balance Numeric 480 Eighties Pack will release on April 19, 2024, at select skateshops and will be available more broadly through New Balance starting April 22, 2024. Priced at $100, these sneakers will be available in men’s sizing.
