Nike's Air technology has been a cornerstone in the brand's design language for decades, establishing Nike as synonymous with Air cushioning setups. While the Air Max line continues to expand with new models introduced throughout the year, Nike also focuses on reviving classics. The latest to get this treatment is the Air 180 silhouette. Following the re-release of the Air 180's OG Ultramarine colorway, a fresh new Black Dusty Cactus color scheme is set to hit the shelves.
The Nike Air 180 Black Dusty Cactus features a blend of materials, including synthetic suede, mesh, and leather, ensuring both durability and a premium feel. The upper is predominantly black, with the suede overlays and mesh base creating a sleek, unified look. An alabaster hue accents the leather Swoosh and sockliner, subtly contrasting. Dusty Cactus hits provide vibrant pops of color on the Air 180 branding atop the tongue, Nike Air text on the heel, and the heel counter.
This colorway's distinct palette makes it stand out while maintaining a versatile and wearable aesthetic. Underfoot, the sneaker boasts a black and Dusty Cactus midsole, highlighting the Air 180's signature Air unit in the heel. This cushioning provides superior cushioning and comfort, which are characteristics of Nike's Air technology. The outsole features a mix of black, alabaster, Dusty Cactus, and a semi-translucent icy blue rubber, which reveals the Air unit.
The Nike Air 180 Black Dusty Cactus will release on September 6, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
