Women’s kicks have become a focus for Nike as of late, with plenty of releases exclusively made for ladies, though signature silhouettes are one area they lack. For their first signature silhouette from a WNBA athlete since 2006, Nike has chosen star player Elena Delle Donne for the already revealed Air Deldon 1. Now the silhouette appears to expand upon Nike’s BETRUE Collection.
Utilizing Nike’s Flyease technology, the silhouette comes covered in a canvas base with leather and suede overlays throughout. For the base, a rainbow canvas with BETRUE branding split between both pairs on the toebox runs back to the collar with tan overlays on the vamp and collar accenting the bright shades. Running up the tongue is a set of tonal beige laces with colorful hits sprinkled throughout, sitting just below the grey textile tongue. Working back to the collar, a leather Flyease strap featuring Delle Donne’s logo on the lateral side and BETRUE split between both pairs on the medial side allows for easy on-and-off wear while the Nike Swoosh just below wraps around the silhouette, acting as a pull tab. Underfoot, a foam midsole gets paired with a multi-color rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Deldon 1 BETRUE is slated to release on October 11th, 2022 through Nike, the SNKRS app, and select Nike Basketball retailers online and in-store. Coming in unisex sizing, the retail price is set a $120.
