Even though it's over 40 years old, the Nike Air Force 1 is still considered by many sneakerheads to be the best of the best. Designed by Bruce Kilgore, the basketball shoe has been blessed with thousands and thousands of colorways over the past four decades, but at the end of the day, we still want them in our collections. If you want a versatile pair to add to your daily rotation, the upcoming Nike Air Force 1 Low Nylon "Gridiron" might just be the one for you.
The AF1's all-leather construction isn't exactly ideal for warm weather, so with Summer coming up just around the corner, the Beaverton-based brand has dropped the classic outfit in favor of a ballistic nylon build that's both breathable and versatile at the same time. Painted predominantly black, it's contrasted by a summit white Air midsole underfoot that's as comfortable as it gets. All of this is then finished with stitched "Nike Air" branding on the tongue tag and heel badge, as well as a Swoosh that swings through the laterals and medials, finalizing the monochromatic aesthetic.
As you might have already guessed, the Nike Air Force 1 Low Nylon Gridiron will release sometime in Summer 2023. Set to drop in men's sizes, they'll be available at Nike, the SNKRS app, select retailers both online and in-store for $130.
