When it comes to wheat or tan-colored sneakers, one looks to fall and all the natural tones that dress our fits. As the world still heals from the pandemic, supply chain issues, and shipping delays, we have been seeing colorways of sneakers released all throughout the year, rather than tying in with a specific season. This is evident with the Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Wheat,” set to release in the summer rather than the fall.
First seen on the Griffey Max 1 "Flax" in 2016, the “Wheat” theme is back with a slightly different look than the release from six years prior. Coming in wheat, white, gum light brown, and pollen, this pair sports a premium suede upper with white accents and embroidered Swooshes. Hits of pollen are found on the lace loops, toe Swoosh, and back heel Swoosh, while a white Max Air cushioned midsole and full gum rubber outsole round things out.
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 Wheat is set to release on April 27th, 2022. It will drop at Nike as well as select retailers worldwide, in-store and online. Coming in men and GS sizes, retail is set at $170 for men. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
