Air Max fans had a long wait for the original version of the Air Max 1 to return, which itself was recalled early on in the lifespan of the silhouette. This four-chamber Air unit finally returned in 2023, and since the OG Sport Red colorway, the sneaker has been given countless makeovers. On top of standard renditions, Nike has converted the silhouette into a golf-ready sneaker, with plans to launch this version in an all-too-familiar Chlorophyll color scheme.
Not too far off from Patta’s latest Air Max 1 Chlorophyll, this variant sees the green hue applied to the suede portions of the mudguard and Swoosh. A white mesh base peeks through the toebox and collar, while grey felt suede on the vamp, midfoot panel, and heel overlay rests above this. Additional white appears on the lace set and tongue, contrasting with green shades on the Nike branding on the tongue and the TPU eyelets. Inside, the insole features a white Nike Golf logo, while the insert comes in the same chlorophyll green as the upper. Below is a white foam midsole with a four-chamber Air unit in the heel and a white, black, and green spikeless golf-ready rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 1 ‘86 OG Golf Chlorophyll will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $160.
