Air Max heads had a fantastic 2022 with the line celebrating its 35th anniversary as The Swoosh dressed the silhouette in countless colorways from classics to collaborations, however, things aren’t stopping heading into 2023. One of the cleanest colorways revealed for next year's Air Max lineup, the Nike Air Max 90 “Black Flat Pewter Picante Red” has just received official images.
Coming in a mixture of suede, mesh, leather, and TPU, the model is primarily covered in darker tones with black taking over the suede mudguard, vamp, and the leather overlay that wraps back from the toe towards the heel. Accenting this are grey hits along the mesh underlay and via the TPU overlays along the eyestays, heel tab, and “Air Max” branding near the lateral heel. A black-on-grey combo is present on the lace set and mesh tongue while the branding details (sans the grey Nike Swoosh) come in a vibrant picante red hue. Underfoot sits the iconic Air Max 90 midsole, coming dressed in white foam throughout the majority of its construction with black TPU surrounding the picante red Air unit in the heel. Rounding out the entire design is the black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 90 Black Flat Pewter Picante Red is set to release in the Spring of 2023 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
