It seems golf is becoming more of a focus for Nike in 2022 when it comes to footwear. The Beaverton-based organization has released plenty of golf-ready variations on their most popular models, from the AJ 1 Low to an upcoming collaboration with Eastside Golf. One of the more common models The Swoosh turns into a course-ready sneaker is the Air Max 90, appearing now in a unique “Back Home” colorway.
Easy-to-wear shades of white and black mix with earth tones and vibrant shades across the golf-ready silhouette. Throughout the upper, a base layer of mesh gets covered in water-resistant fused overlays, making sure the freshly watered course won’t seep into your footwear choice. Shades of green appear on the plastic eyestays while embroidered flower details land on the toebox, and along the brown leather mudguard on the midfoot. Even the black Swoosh joins in on the floral arrangements as embroidery in the same shade overtakes the center of the branding detail. On the sockliner sits a flannel-like pattern in various shades that are actually comprised of mini Nike Swooshes, though this comes accented by a blue insole featuring a playful graphic of Nike’s hiking caricature peeking out of a hole. Underfoot, a speckled white and brown midsole features a Max Air Unit in the heel that is dressed in a gradient of greens. Rounding everything out is the two-tone pink and green rubber outsole with extra traction ready for the course hosting the phrase “Back” and “Home” split between both pairs.
The Nike Air Max 90 Golf Back Home is slated to release this fall through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
