This upcoming Nike Air Max 90 is a mash up of several colorways that were released as part of the run of Air Max III OG “30th Anniversary” celebration in 2020. This pair incorporates its multitude of color accents while keeping a consistent neutral base on the upper and avoiding a mismatch of the right and left pair.
Starting with white mesh underlays, grey suede covers the overlays around the toe rand and the quarter-panel. Sporting a classic black tumbled leather mudguard, the shoe is accented with a diverse blend of colors that harken back to different classic Air Max 90 colorways. Purple starts us off, serving as the accent color on the toe of the outsole that wraps up to the front of the toebox, with a plastic backdrop for the heel’s “shield” piece. Laser Blue and volt accents on the lace eyelets are greeted with white laces and a black tongue. The volt columns within the air bag encased in the heel of the midsole almost mimics the beam of light from old print ads of Air Max shoes from back in the day.
