Nike has relied heavily upon nostalgia regarding the brand’s Air Max line, specifically retro designs. Even with new models, like the Air Max Scorpion, Air Max Pulse, and Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit, consumers still flock to any of the 90s designs that hit shelves. Looking at the Air Max 95, the model recently was spotted in a clean “Vast Grey Red Stardust” that takes greyscale colors mixed with muted reds. Borrowing from a similar color palette is the upcoming Nike Air Max 95 “Black Track Red Anthracite.”
Like many classic Air Max 95 colorways, the upper comes primarily composed of grey and black, retaining its multi-material construction. Around the toebox and heel, we see black suede panels that accent the grey ripstop and suede featured on the human anatomy-inspired midfoot section. Looking over to the tongue area, we see blue nylon containing the white lace set. These colors contrast starkly with the black and white parts of the tongue; however, the Nike branding above switches back to blue. More blue hits are found on the Nike Air text along the heel tab, with the nearby Swoosh logo getting a track red makeover. Rounding out the design is the black Air Max 95 midsole with track red Air bubbles paired with a black and white rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max 95 Black Track Red Anthracite will be released in Fall 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $175.
