The Nike Air Max line has always led Nike in innovation, as without Tinker Hatfields original design, we wouldn’t have visible Air units today. Air cushioning and the Air Max series have come a long way since the ‘80s, today pushing the boundaries of footwear manufacturing with models like the Air Max 1000 and turning Air to the max with silhouettes like the Air Max DN. Continuing to develop the Dynamic Air unit, which was introduced on Air Max Day 2024, Nike has plans to launch the Air Max DN8 in March 2025. Multiple colorways have appeared online, including the Tan Sail and Black Bright Crimson renditions, with a third pair in White getting retailer imagery.
One of the defining features of the DN8 that isn’t its sole unit is the use of Nexkin mesh on the upper, making up the slash design that runs across the profile. Regular white mesh is utilized for the rest of the upper, and TPU reinforcements hit the toecap and heel overlay. Felt suede makes up the vamp and eyelets, the former hosting a 3D black Swoosh. Mesh along the tongue continues using white, while the Air Max logo on the tongue tag and the Swoosh along the collar comes in contrasting black. Branding for the Dynamic Air unit is located on the heel, with a logo riffing off of the classic Tuned Air logo, which is present in white, yellow, and red. The only contrast on the upper comes via the metallic silver underlay below the molded TPU heel counter. A white foam midsole and a full-length Dynamic Air unit, featuring four chambers in the heel and four in the forefoot, come paired with a black rubber outsole to finish the design.
The Nike Air Max DN8 White will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the retail price is $190.
