Back in 2012, Nike revolutionized the running shoe game with the release of the Flyknit Racer. A futuristic silhouette that was unlike anything before it, it was unbeatable both on the track and in terms of hype. One of the most iconic colorways was definitely the original "Oreo," and if you didn't manage to secure your size back in the day, the American sportswear giant has brought it back in the form of the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer "Oreo" - and here's everything that you need to know.
Featuring more-or-less the same Flyknit construction as the OG, this pair is painted in a monochromatic black and white color palette that has naturally earned it the "Oreo" nickname. A Swoosh is printed across the lateral and medial sidewalls, while smooth leather elements make their way to the lacing system and heel counter for a luxe look and feel. As you might have already noticed, the midsole has been completely redesigned from the ground up. In fact, this unit has been borrowed straight from the Air Max Pre-Day model which was introduced in 2021. Featuring a visible Air bubble around the heel, this is infinitely more comfortable than the 2012 classic.
Expected to release in Summer 2023, the Nike Air Max Flyknit Racer Oreo will be available in men's sizes via Nike and select online and in-store locations worldwide, with a retail price of $160.
