France Gets Honored On This Nike Air Max Plus
PublishedThe Nike Air Max line is celebrating its 35th Anniversary and the Swoosh is going all out in dressing models from across the lineup. We’ve already seen a celebratory make-up on the Air Max 97 as well as a “Safari Mix” on the Air Max 90, yet the Air Max Plus hasn’t seen much love. While in the states the silhouette isn’t favored, out in the EU the Nike Air Max Plus was the sneaker of choice for years. Now honoring one of these EU countries directly, the Nike Air Max Plus “France” is on the way.
Coming dressed in an all-black upper, chain link details in silver on top of the mesh base provide contrast. Running up the mesh tongue with “9” and “3” imprints on the right and left sneaker respectively is a set of black laces that stop just below the French flag colored Nike branded tongue tag. Along the siding of the upper, fused overlays work around the Nike Swoosh in white, wrapping back towards the Tuned Air tag on the heel tab. Underfoot, a black and silver midsole features visible Tuned Air units that come in French flag colors, blue, white and red. Rounding out the entire look is a black rubber outsole with accenting blue, white and red throughout.
The Nike Air Max Plus France is scheduled to release in 2022 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $180.
