The Nike Air Max Plus is celebrating a massive milestone this year. Designed by Sean McDowell back in 1998, the retro runner has been a streetwear staple for 25 years, and to honor this classic, the American sportswear company will be launching a vast range of special colorways over the next few months. After taking a look at the "Dusk" and "Vachetta Tan" earlier this season, we're now getting a glimpse of the upcoming Nike Air Max Plus "UCLA."
Painted in the University of California, Los Angeles' official school colors, this Air Max Plus works on top of a white mesh base and is taken over by a palm tree-inspired caging system that fades gracefully into university blue. A striking laser orange Swoosh shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls, and the entire upper is finished off with a smooth leather mudguard that wraps all the way around. Underfoot, you'll find an extra chunky TN Air Max midsole that's just like the one from the '98 OG.
Expected to release sometime in 2023, the Nike Air Max Plus UCLA White will be available in men's sizes via Nike and select online and in-store locations worldwide, with retail price of $185.
