Obscure and archival Air Max silhouettes have been making comebacks as Nike continues to revive silhouettes from the past. Just this year alone, we’ve seen the return of two models, the Air Max Sunder and Air Max TL 2.5, the former of which has been subject to a handful of makeovers and collabs since its return in August. Now, for Spring 2025, the silhouette continues its gradient makeovers with the Obsidian Grey Haze color scheme.
The model retains its stretchy neoprene mesh for the base in a gradient pattern that transitions from a light blue hue to a navy obsidian-like hue. Black paneling runs from the mudguard and wraps around the entire upper, hosting the model’s signature TPU square plugs in a contrasting shade. Moving up, you’ll see the zipper shroud conceal the black lace set and the hidden nod to the early 2000s with the numbers 6, 4, 5, and 3, which, when typed in using an old-school cellphone keypad, spells “Nike.” Internally, the sneaker features a white sockliner with black hues on the collar and pull tabs. Final details include the black foam midsole with Air units near the forefoot and heel and the tonal black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Max Sunder Obsidian Grey Haze W will release in Spring 2025 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price is $180.
