Even with Air Max Day going down a few days back, Nike is still set to bring forth plenty of releases under the Air Max line in 2023. Alongside the introduction of the Nike Air Max Pulse, this year will also see an update to the iconic VaporMax design (the Nike Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit). Most color schemes revealed so far have come in neutral color palettes, with only one, a “Baltic Blue Citron Tint” rendition, taking on vibrant hues. Already shown in a women’s exclusive “White Pure Platinum,” we’re also set to receive a men’s version of this “Pure Platinum” colorway.
Although the two previously mentioned colorways come in a similar color scheme, this “Pure Platinum” pair gives the Flyknit upper a monochromatic makeover in its titular shade. All the patterns on the knit come dressed in this hue, while we see a minor hit of white via the lace set. Aside from the silver Swoosh on the midfoot, branding details come in tonal shades of pure platinum. Helping reinforce the upper and keeping in theme with the color scheme, TPU overlays on the toe and heel come to us in a semi-translucent finish. Internally, we see Nike’s pinwheel Swoosh logo, denoting that the pair features recycled materials in its construction. Rounding out the look is the semi-translucent clear VaporMax midsole and outsole.
The Nike Air VaporMax 2023 Flyknit Pure Platinum will be released online and in-store on April 6th, 2023, through Nike and select NSW retailers. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $210.
