The silhouette that Jason Kidd wore during his early playing days continues its run in 2022, this time joining the Air Force 1 and the Air More Uptempo as a part of the “Hoops” Pack. The futuristic look of the Flight 95, helped mark the rebrand of “Tensile Air” into “Zoom Air," launching Nike into the future of performance footwear cushioning and design.
For this Air Zoom Flight 95, Nike has gone with white leather as the base for the upper. Black nubuck caps the toe box, with a stitched Nike Swoosh sitting just above it. The carbon fiber overlays are in their usual black, with another red stitched Nike Swoosh logo on the heel. A small white tag hangs from the ankle collar, as black piping runs around it. Black round laces make their way up along a black mesh tongue which features the custom peace sign hand and basketball logo. The vintage, off-white color of the midsole gives way to the "bug eyes" of black carbon fiber detailing, while the outsole is done entirely in solid black rubber.
The Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 Hoops was originally set to release on August 5th, 2022. After a short delay, they will now release on August 18th. Look out for them at Nike, via the SNKRS app, and at select retailers online and in-store. Coming in sizing, retail is set at $165.
