From the Nike Air More Uptempo to the slew of Air Jordan models MJ wore during his two championship runs, 90s basketball sneakers are still some of the most popular silhouettes on the market. One model from this era that doesn’t see as many releases as it should, the Nike Air Zoom Flight 95, has recently begun to emerge from the archives in the last few months. While we’re still waiting for Drake’s reimagining of the silhouette through his Nocta label and the “All-Star” colorway to hit shelves in 2023, we’re getting first looks at a “Pale Ivory” colorway on the model.
Coming with its leather and mesh construction, the model comes almost entirely covered in a single shade of pale ivory throughout its leather upper while black accents make their mark throughout. On the toe, an embroidered Nike Swoosh comes in black with white trimming while the vamp nearby also gets a deep black color. A two-tone pale ivory and black set of laces run up the pale ivory tongue and contrast the all-black sockliner and sail panel along the midfoot, the latter of which comes with a white Nike Swoosh embroidered near the heel. Back on the spine of the heel sits a black nylon pull-tab with “Flight” text in white while the entire design is rounded out by the “bug-eye” white foam midsole and a sanddrift & black rubber outsole.
The Nike Air Zoom Flight 95 Pale Ivory will release May 18 through Nike and select NSW retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $170.
