Nike's roster of athletes with signature sneakers is a pantheon of sports legends, and Devin Booker, the Phoenix Suns' sharpshooter, is the latest to join these ranks. With only days away from the first widely available launch of his Nike Book 1 in the Light Orewood Brown colorway (the Clay Orange was limited to 500 pairs), the Book 1 roster is expanding with the Haven colorway.
Inspired by Devin’s dog, the Nike Book 1 Haven features a sophisticated design that blends workwear elements with premium aesthetics. The sneaker incorporates canvas workwear-inspired panels along the midfoot and high-quality nubuck at the toe and collar, consistent with the design language of the Book 1 series. A standout feature of this sneaker is its metallic bronze Swoosh, which comes with a hazy finish in a similar color scheme to Book's dog. More nods to his canine friend come via the faux fur on the vamp, eyestays, and collar. The attention to detail continues with Booker's logo on the tongue and a “96” on the pull tab, both adopting an accenting hit of hemp. The design is rounded off with a black midsole, cushioned with Cushlon 2.0, and an icy blue outsole, adding a final touch of style and performance.
The Nike Book 1 Haven will release on April 6, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men’s sizing, the sneaker will retail for $140.
