Devin Booker, the Phoenix Suns' star guard, is no stranger to the spotlight, both on the court and in the sneaker world. His partnership with Nike has introduced the world to the Nike Book 1, his first signature shoe. While its debut has been a slow burn, characterized by exclusive colorways and limited releases, the Nike Book 1 is gaining traction as sneakerheads get pairs in hand. Expanding on the Book 1’s lineup, which includes the Light Orewood Brown and Ashen Slate colorways, we have another outdoor-inspired colorway that will precede the Rattlesnake rendition with The Hike colorway.
Crafted with an eye for detail and a nod to adventure, the Nike Book 1 Premium The Hike integrates textures and materials that evoke the rugged beauty of nature. This version presents a rich tapestry of dark stucco, complemented by faux snakeskin accents adorning the mudguard, tongue, and midfoot. A faux reptile pattern is artfully embossed into the toe, vamp, and eyestays, enhancing the shoe's tactile appeal.
The Swoosh brandishes a contrasting grey, while the collar indulges in a luxurious faux fur finish, further elevating the sneaker's premium feel. Key features such as Booker's signature branding on the tongue, his family crest at the rear, and the unique heel tab inspired by a book spine underscore the personal connection and storytelling intrinsic to his signature model line. The Zoom Air-cushioned rubber midsole with Zoom Air cushioning paired with a dark stucco and clay orange rubber outsole rounds out the look.
The Nike Book 1 Premium The Hike will release on April 20, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
