Devin Booker's Nike Book 1 has taken the sneaker world by storm since its global launch in March. Despite initial mixed reactions, the signature model has continued to sell out rapidly. Following the upcoming Sunbleached rendition, Nike is now set to release the Book 1 in a striking Python makeover this September.
The Nike Book 1 has featured snakeskin details on prior colorways, including The Hike and Rattlesnake pairs. However, this Python colorway covers every panel in a luxurious snakeskin texture from top to bottom. Black embroidery outlines the Swoosh on the midfoot, providing a bold contrast to the snakeskin. Cream laces add a subtle touch, matching the cream accents on the Book-branded tongue tag and the book spine-inspired pull tab on the heel. The pull tab includes "Chapter One" branding and a "96" emblem, the latter symbolizing Booker’s birth year. The sneaker sits on a white midsole and a gum rubber outsole, cushioned with Zoom Air in the heel and full-length Cushlon 2.0 foam.
The Nike Book 1 Python will release on September 12, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $150.
