Devin Booker has solidified his presence in the sneaker world with his first signature model, the Nike Book 1. Initially launched in February of this year, the Book 1 has quickly gained popularity among sneakerheads and basketball players. The initial Mirage colorways set the tone, followed by impressive releases like the Haven, Hike, and Rattlesnake. Nike is preparing to introduce the next chapter in this exciting line: the Nike Book 1 Sun Bleached.
The Nike Book 1 Sun Bleached retains the distinctive workwear-inspired upper that has become a hallmark of this line. The sneaker combines durability with style, featuring a canvas twill material on the midfoot. Suede accents adorn the toebox, mudguard, eyestays, and heel overlay, all in a subtle, barely grape finish. Adding a touch of sophistication, the collar and Swoosh are crafted from shiny metallic patent leather in a darker purple shade.
Attention to detail is evident throughout the Nike Book 1 Sun Bleached design. The tongue features Book branding in a matching purple hue, while the heel tab, inspired by the spine of books, proudly displays Booker’s birth year, 96. Inside, the tongue features a custom logo that features the initials of his family members. Underfoot, the shoe boasts a Zoom Air-cushioned midsole, ensuring responsive cushioning and support during high-intensity games. The tonal purple finish of the midsole and the durable rubber outsole complete the look, making this sneaker as functional as it is stylish.
The Nike Book 1 Sun Bleached will release on July 18, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
