After years of anticipation, Devin Booker’s debut sneaker, the Nike Book 1, finally hit the market in 2023 via the limited Clay Orange colorway. Since then, the Suns' star player has launched multiple color schemes, including the Sun Bleached, Haven, and Rattlesnake. Following the reveal of the Sunset iteration, Nike is set to drop another vibrant edition: the Nike Book 1 Sunrise.
Drawing inspiration from the beauty of dawn, the Nike Book 1 Sunrise features a canvas upper drenched in a soft pink hue, evoking the first light of the day. The tonal stitching and Swoosh outline maintain the serene pink theme, while celestial gold accents on the tongue tag, tongue lining, and insole add a touch of brilliance. The spine of the heel, adorned with Chapter 1 text, echoes the narrative of Booker's journey. Unlike most other colorways, this version removes the book spine-inspired pull tab for a cleaner look.
Underfoot, the sneaker is designed for performance and comfort. The pink rubber midsole houses Cushlon 2.0 foam, ensuring a cushioned ride, while a TPU sidewall adds stability. A top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel provides responsive cushioning, perfect for dynamic movements on the court. The clear rubber outsole features a captivating gradient pattern, transitioning from purple at the toe to orange at the heel, symbolizing the transition from night to day.
The Nike Book 1 Sunrise will release on October 10, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $140.
