Nike’s venture into foam-based slip-ons, specifically with the Calm Slide, has garnered considerable attention. Drawing comparisons to the Yeezy Slide, the model continues to emerge in new colorways, even with the hype surrounding the model not being high. While all the color schemes, including the recently revealed Bright Mandarin, have stuck to a monochrome build, Summer 2024 will see the Calm Slide come in a patriotic USA color scheme as part of Nike’s Olympic Collection.
Draped in a palette paying homage to the USA, the Nike Calm Slide Olympic USA encapsulates the spirit of athleticism and national pride. The upper is made of all-white foam, and the forefoot strap features the USA debossed into the design. A small Nike Swoosh is present here and along the lateral side of the sole unit. Below, the outsole features recycled rubber in a semi-translucent finish with a red, white, and blue gradient pattern.
The Nike Calm Slide Olympic USA will release on May 1, 2024, through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Available in men's sizes, it will retail for $5 more than a standard Calm Slide at $55.
